The 43rd annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival in 2019 was a full day of music, dance, and storytelling workshops and concerts, crafts, vendors, and fun for the whole family – see our video!

All ages and musical interests are welcome at the festival. All events and workshops are open to anyone who wants to participate or just listen. Admission to everything was free!

The 2019 program is online at sffolkfest.org/program-2019   Thanks to everyone who put in proposals for workshops and performances!

2019 was the 100th anniversary of the birth of folk icon Pete Seeger. To honor this, we had several special events at the 2019 festival.

We rely on donations and sponsors to cover the cost of renting the facility and other expenses. All the performers and workshop leaders donate their time and talent. Many of them are members of the San Francisco Folk Music Club.

Since everyone involved is a volunteer, we can always use more help! See the volunteer page for more information, or go directly to our 2019 volunteer sign-up form.

The festival is run by the San Francisco Folk Music Club, a non-profit organization that was founded in 1948 and is still going strong. Membership is open to everyone.
