Folklore demystification, through zoom:

A presentation that will take a closer look into old English ballads from the 1200s to the 1800s and dissect their meaning, cultural references, myths, and interpretations.

That will be followed with musical examples and observing how artists reimagined the popular ballads.

The Unquiet Grave defines their sound as medieval folk rock, with music that is dark and hauntingly beautiful at times while driving and rhythmic at others. They rewrite old ballads with new music and perform them in a storytelling fashion. They also perform some of their own arrangements of traditional Celtic music.

The Unquiet Grave features vocalist Elise Ebbinghaus, who has training in operatic, classical, and contemporary theatrical techniques. She is accompanied by guitar virtuoso Randall Krieger, a trained classical guitarist and composer. Together they are the twa bards that form The Unquiet Grave.
