This performance will feature some exciting fast violin repertoire from Romania and Turkey that evoke the feeling of birds in flight.
Oliver Levi is a violinist specializing in classical, jazz, and world folk music. The vibrant sounds of acoustic instruments are a source of passionate inspiration for him. Oliver regularly performs a cycle of songs from Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Syria, Iraq, and Iran – and has traveled through half of those countries. One of the most exciting aspects of being a musician consists in the “flow” one can achieve in a musical conversation with others, i.e. through jamming.
