Bay Station finds California-based songwriter/musicians Kwame Copeland and Deborah Crooks combining their talents with guitarist Steve Waters and a variety of other collaborators to create a diverse form of Americana and rock music. They’ve released three collections of their original music incorporating aspects of Americana, blues, jazz and rock and roll, including 2018’s Other Desert Cities, which was inspired by extended writing retreats in Joshua Tree. The same year, they launched their Love the Bay Music & Sailing Series, on and around the San Francisco Bay, playing on deck with a variety of musical guests at their ports of call, eventually expanding the concept into a monthly series of videos featuring performance and interviews with songwriters aboard Espresso. The pandemic-overshadowed 2020 saw them playing a weekly porch concert series for their local community and penning and recording a 6-song EP Beyond the Safe and Sound, which was released in spring 2021.
