Room / 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Real-time event on festival day with pre-registration required. You can find the registration link near the top of the program page when the link is ready.

A variety of easy non-partner American country line dances will be taught. Make sure to have dance space available where you can still see the Zoom session.

Donna Frankel graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Recreation Administration and Dance, and holds three California teaching credentials. Her dance career began on roller skates at age 1, and ice skates at 3, followed by folk dancing, ice dance, classical ballet, tap, jazz, modern, ballroom, Latin, country line and choreography, but she had been creating her own dances all along. Donna performed for seven years in a ballet company and has performed on many stages since. Her teaching career began in her teens with classical ballet, progressing through recreation dept. YMCAs, adult education, senior and four bay area colleges. Today she teaches several Zoom dance classes throughout the bay area, has trained some 16 dance teachers and assisted students with careers on Broadway to dance studio management.

Since 1996, Donna has led two or more dance cruises and land trips –several to India, but all involving dance — for her students and the public each year, teaching a variety of dances and styles to all ages on five cruise lines throughout the world.

Ms. Frankel believes there truly is a dance for every body. Those who don’t enjoy dancing either have had little experience or have yet to be introduced to a dance style they will love by a professionally trained teacher who knows the quickest pathways to success. She hopes you will join her next dance trip post Covid-19!
