This will be a “playshop” on writing and performing topical/satirical songs. Mark will draw from the body of such composers as Tom Lehrer, Tom Paxton, Phil Ochs, Melanie Safka, Dory Previn, Roy Zimmerman, Randy Rainbow and others, including one or two of his own. If you have a song that fits the description, by all means bring it.

Mark Levy has been writing and performing topical/satirical songs since the 1970s. He has traveled the country lending his songs to pertinent social and political issues at meetings, rallies, marches, and concerts, hoping to change minds with his music and humor. He is also known for his rendering of Jewish and international folk songs. A member of SFFMC since 1976, Mark recently relocated to Florence, Oregon, but maintains contact with the Club and its many members and friends.
