Come and share your choice of traditional or contemporary song of the seasons. Maybe you’ll chronicle the yearly cycle; or maybe you prefer to illustrate one of the individual seasons of the year through weather, nature or human activity. Bring your voice (and instrument if you so desire)!
David Kidman is a UK-based singer; his repertoire, while classified under “contemporary tradition”, encompasses traditional and modern-day ballads, shanties, parodies and songs from non-folk genres. To him, the sharing of, and engagement in, the song and its message are paramount. Since lockdown, he has participated extensively in virtual (Zoom) singing circles and other events on both sides of the pond, including hosting/co-hosting and leading ballad workshops at Camp Harmony, Rainy Camp and FSGW Getaway weekends. Although he primarily sings solo, he has also embraced collaborative duo participation with fellow-singers in the UK, US and Australia.
