This will be a singing circle; Casey will lead the group in singing nonsense songs from the oral traditions of the British Isles and America. Choose songs that have a nonsense chorus or are entirely nonsense! (Examples of nonsense songs: Nottamun Town, Blue-Haired Jimmy, The Seven Wonders, Sing Song Kitty.)
Casey has participated in a hundred Zoom sings since the start of the Covid era. She sings traditional music in English, Scots, and French, from tragic ballads to drinking songs. Her love of the songs, and her knowledge of their folklore and historical context, will feed your curiosity and pull you into the joy of traditional a cappella singing.
