Uplifting Community-Singing Songs (2023 program)

Marv Zauderer
Workshop Area 1 / 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Marv will teach easy-to-learn, non-religious, contemporary community-singing songs, with three-part harmonies, layers, and more , written by some of the community singing movement’s longtime brightest lights, like Melanie DeMore, Debbie Nargi-Brown, and Maggie Wheeler, and by rising stars like Ahlay Blakely. All levels and voices welcome. Come sing with us and be uplifted!

Marv is passionate about the unique power of singing together to connect us more deeply within, to each other, and to something larger than ourselves. He loves sharing songs that can accompany us in our full range of aliveness – love, sadness, shame, surprise, anger, fear, and joy. He leads weekly song circles and choirs on unceded Coast Miwok land in Marin County, and online at SingOnline.org, where through the miracle of free software, unlike on Zoom, everyone can see and hear every word from everyone. He’s a graduate of Littlebird Songleader Flight School, a member of The Living Room Choir, and a proud alum of West Marin Choir/Common Voice.
