Amelia Hogan (2025 program)

Celtic, Traditional, Vocals
Bandshell Stage / 2:20 pm - 2:40 pm

Amelia Hogan is an impeccably authentic singer of Celtic music, and her depth comes through in honeyed tones on Irish, Scottish, British, and American-styled vocals. She sings in the Irish music tradition of Sean-Nós, or “old style,” a highly lyrical solo a cappella style as well as with accompaniment, plays Shruti box, bodhran, and a small 22-string Welsh lap harp, and has toured internationally to global acclaim. Her critically acclaimed 2023 release Taking Flight soared to #10 album and Hogan was the #10 Artist with the #15 Song on the Folk Alliance International Chart for March, 2023. The CD charted at #26 Album for 2023, and was featured on nationally syndicated Celtic music programs, and international publications such as NPR’s “Thistle and Shamrock”, and Irish Music Magazine.

In addition, Hogan has performed for the Consul General of Ireland, San Francisco, headlined festivals such as Alaska’s Galway Days, SF Free Folk Festival and the San Francisco Maritime Festival of the Sea through the NPS. She hosted an international folk-song cruise through Fan Club Cruises, been a featured guest of the Clé Club in Dublin, and Sunflower Club in Belfast Ireland, community partner with the Consul General of Ireland, SF and has enchanted audiences at many other renowned festivals and events across the US and abroad.
