Mokai is a folk-blues performer, known for his original tunes that draw from the tradition of folk finger-picking. He has performed for many decades in Northern CA at cafes, clubs, house concerts and festivals, including in institutions with Bread and Roses. He teaches the guitar workshop at the Strawberry Music festival and is a past participant at the SF Free Folk Fest. He has released several albums of original and traditional music.
