Tim Bertsch is a versatile composer, performer, recording artist, guitarist, harp guitarist, producer, published author, and music educator based in Seattle.
Timothy has been a devoted disciple of the guitar and its resonance since the age of 9 and is a founding member of the rock band Jaded Mary and an original member of the progressive jazz group H.D. Fusion. Additionally, he has built a strong presence in the acoustic fingerstyle genre with his solo project Soulresonance.
He composes and performs across multiple musical genres and has shared the stage with countless national artists. Tim has also performed as a featured soloist at many prestigious festivals and events, including Folklife, the Reno International Jazz Festival, The NAMM Show, the Whidbey Island Guitar Festival, and Muriel Anderson’s All-Star Harp Guitar Night.
Timothy’s work has been highlighted by Acoustic Guitar Magazine and Classical Guitar Magazine, including multiple AG Video Sessions. His published writings in Acoustic Guitar Magazine include “Tips on Tone,” “Transposition for Musicians,” and “Modes Demystified.” He has also been featured in two CNN stories while performing live in Los Angeles.
His versatility and competency on guitar, harp guitar, bass, mandolin and sitar have made him an in-demand studio musician, as well as a sought-after live performer.
