A California-based singer and songwriter, Arielle Silver is a consummate storyteller whose songs are rich with imagery, empathy, and insight, and equally inspired by Laurel Canyon and Greenwich Village. Conceived in the quiet of the pandemic quarantine, her new 10-song collection, Watershed, takes its title as much from that watershed moment in time as it does from the North American spaces where the story-songs take place. Renewing and reflective, water runs through many of the roots and folk-inspired songs as crosscurrents that connect ideas to experiences, and people to places.
Silver’s rich lyrics, folk-pop artistry, and enchanting stagecraft have earned her three-time ASCAP Plus Awards, 2025 Winner at the South Florida Folk and Acoustic Music Festival, 2024 and 2025 finalist in the Tucson Folk Festival, and second place in the 2024 International Acoustic Music Awards, among other accolades. Watershed’s singles and official videos premiered in The Bluegrass Situation, Americana Highways, and Twangville, and spent 18 weeks on the Americana Music Charts.
In between her rigorous west coast, midwest, and east coast tour schedule, she teaches yoga at her online studio Bhavana Flow Yoga and creative writing at Antioch University; manages programs to support songwriters at the SONA Foundation; and is the former President of FAR-West, the regional Folk Alliance International branch representing the western territory of the US and Canada.
